#Repost from @sarahkkd with @regram.app ... These #Repost from @sarahkkd with @regram.app ... These are the remaining wee paintings that should have been heading to @glasgow_contemporary_art_fair in a fortnight but which instead are available direct from me via #artistsupportpledge (NB except many of those on the last horizontal line are reserved)
I have put them into different blocks here so you can see fours that I think would go together well as well as pairs and threes. One of the most fun games I play in the studio, do play along too. And do let me know which are your favourites. Over the past few weeks I have sent ones, twos and threes by post to Prague, London, Kent, Yorkshire and by hand delivery within Glasgow...where will they head to next?

I have spent the past year making this colourful series in my sunny wee studio in The Hidden Lane, Glasgow. It has been a joy and brought bright abstract colour back into my wider work. It is also in part a project of collaborative recycling. My little boy takes lots of snaps on his #instax camera and discards most of them as being no good. I then paint over the exposed #instantfilm in oils to make something new and more beautiful.

Each of these originals has been professionally mounted to fit a standard 6 x 4inch : 15 x 10cm frame. Each individual artwork measures 2.5 x 2 inches : 6.5 x 4.8cm

They usually sell for more but I am happy to see them go to good homes right now for £70 each / £130 a pair / £190 for three / £253 for four (+ postage on top)

As unique originals once they are gone they are gone, so send me a swift direct message if you’d like to own one or two. And if you just can’t live without them all, name your price and let’s talk!

#Repost from @sarahkkd ... More wee paintings from #Repost from @sarahkkd ... More wee paintings from my #HiddenLaneColours series for sale at a nice price as part of #artistsupportpledge - the gist of it is to give you a chance to shop art online and bring artists a little support during the current absence of sales, artfairs, exhibitions, teaching and all other sources of income.
Anyone can buy the @artistsupportpledge artworks and no percentage is taken by a gallery/agent. On reaching the total of £1000 sales income the artist selling will make a purchase from another artist participating in the pledge = mutual support and creative goodwill.
Perfect way to support artists you may like who has no sickpay/salary to fall back on AND get that lovely glow from opening something amazing that arrives when you’re at stuck at home and in need of creative solace!

I have spent the past year making this series of original paintings over exposed instax snaps in my cosy studio in @hiddenlanefinnieston as a kind of collaborative recycling. My little boy takes lots of snaps on his instax camera (as he is not allowed to get his hands on my #PolaroidSX70). He discards those he thinks are no good, so I rescue them and paint abstracts over the exposed instant-film surface to make something beautiful.

Each oil paint over instax individual image is professionally presented (unframed but in a mount cut to a standard 6 x 4 inch : 15 x 10cm frame size) and measures 2.5 x 2 inches : 6.5 x 4.8cm.

These usually sell for £90 each but I am happy to see them go to good homes right now for £70 each / £130 for the pair bought together

Happy to ship these unframed worldwide, and additional costs for post & packaging will be minimal. Send as a gift to someone you cannot be with right now (I’ll throw in free gift wrapping and add a greeting if you wish) or treat yourself!
The images here are
#HiddenLaneColours
#21 and #22
As originals once they are gone they are gone so send me a swift direct message if you would like to own this / these.

Many thanks

///GCAF 2020 The Marquee at Kelvingrove Art Galler ///GCAF 2020 The Marquee at Kelvingrove Art Gallery is cancelled./// It is with considerable regret that that in light of the advice from Scottish and UK Governments we have had to take the difficult decision to cancel the Glasgow Contemporary Art Fair that was due to take place from the 15-17th of May at Kelvingrove Art Gallery.

Taking this decision has not been easy and we are very grateful for the support and kind words you have shown in the run-up to this announcement. If you have purchased a ticket for the event please contact your point of purchase for a refund.

Due to the uncertainty of the corona virus we are not able to re-schedule the event for this summer so we look forward to updating you on our plans for the GCAF 2021 event.

We are very keen to support our art galleries and artists through this difficult time so we are delighted to offer a mini exhibition of their superb work here and on Instagram.
Kind Regards

Pascale Steenkiste was due to take part in GCAF 20 Pascale Steenkiste was due to take part in GCAF 2020.
Although the three works 'Small But Perfectly Formed I, II and III' (each 20x20cm, acrylics/pastels on canvas) will now not be seen at the fair, we hope that you enjoy viewing them here online.
About the artist:

Pascale was born in 1963 in Ostend, Belgium. Her creative side started as a child with drawing, colouring and making things such as paper flowers made with coloured stretch paper and selling them on the beach for shells during the summer holidays. She came to Scotland in 1986 working as an au pair to two young children. During her work she met her future husband Andrew and has two children Alexander and Archie. Her 'official' creative journey started in 2008 attending classes at Glasgow University and then on to the Glasgow School of Art where she began her own exploration of colour and texture with acrylics and mixed media. Steenkiste's work is driven by imagination and is largely self taught through experimenting in her studio in Glasgow. Steenkiste's work is predominantly non-objective, all about visual stimulation influenced by the environment always evolving as nothing stays the same.

If you wish to enquire about these works please contact the artist via her website at https://www.pascalesteenkisteart.com/
